FAQ

The billion-dollar question everyone wants to know. I approach family photo sessions like a fun-filled party! We kick things off with the “everyone looks at me” shot before anyone gets too relaxed—if you know, you know. Then we jump into the action with bear hugs, sneak attacks, and playful games like Ring Around the Rosie to showcase your kids’ true personalities or simply make silly faces. Embrace the delightful chaos, because those candid moments of your kids just being themselves are the memories you’ll cherish the most!

Why stop the fun just as it’s getting started? Let’s create memories everyone will rave about later! My sessions are designed to be stress-free, and we won’t force anyone to participate against their will. We aim to create a safe environment where we can engage, get to know each other, and even share a few tears before breaking into laughter. Before you know it, an hour will fly by, and we’ll have captured beautiful moments together!

There are many beautiful locations around Illinois for family photos, and the ideal spot depends on the vibe you’re seeking. I’d love to set up a quick discovery call to discuss and find the perfect location for you. Personally, I enjoy city vibes in small towns like West Dundee, Elgin, Algonquin, St. Charles, and Geneva. For a mix of nature and charm, Fabyan Forest is a favorite of mine, but many fun places vary by season. Indoor studio personality photos can also be a great option if the weather is sassy!

Yes, I offer mini sessions throughout the year. Easter mini sessions, including special Mommy and Me sessions, are available at the end of January, with outdoor sessions in April with Tulips and Lilacia’s in the park in May for Spring. For summer June-July, I have wildflower family photo sessions and river mini sessions. Fall mini sessions run from mid-September to October, and Christmas mini sessions are available from late October to early December. To receive reminders, please sign up on my website to join the email list!

Of course! Pets are family too, and I love including them in your family photo sessions. Whether it’s your dog, cat, or any other furry friend, I can help capture beautiful moments with your pet. I’ll guide you on how to incorporate your pet into the photos naturally, ensuring everyone feels comfortable. Just let me know in advance so I can prepare for a fun and relaxed session with your four-legged family member! Feel free to bring some treats and a favorite toy to help keep them engaged during the session.

During the session, we begin with individual photos of the children, followed by pictures with mom and the kids, then dad and the kids, and finally, all together. If grandparents are present, we’ll wrap up with cherished generational photos, so I highly recommend bringing them along!

Absolutely! If you prefer one of your child’s expressions in a certain photo, I can easily swap faces for you. I also take care of any little mishaps—like removing dirt from clothes or editing out any unintended moments—so you can relax and enjoy the session. I’ve got you covered every step of the way!

After our session, you’ll get an online gallery with all the unedited images within 24 hours. This lets you and your loved one’s review and choose your favorites. Once you send me your selected images for editing, I’ll have them ready for you in two to three business days.
