In-Hospital Fresh 48 Newborn Photos: Capturing those precious first moments when your baby is just 1 to 2 days old.
In-Home Newborn Photos: A lifestyle session in the comfort of your home, including parents and grandparents.
In-Studio Newborn Photos: Featuring various props and poses, these sessions focus on your newborn while also incorporating family members. All studio sessions take place in Pingree Grove, Illinois.
When is the best time to schedule my newborn photo session with you?
The ideal time to schedule your newborn photo session is during your second or third trimester to ensure you secure a spot. For those dreamy, snuggly poses, it’s best to book the session within the first two weeks of your baby’s life.
What should I do if I missed the opportunity for newborn photos?
If you missed the ideal window for newborn photos, no worries! Each stage has its own charm. From weeks 3 to 5, babies are still quite flexible and adorable, even if they’re a bit more alert. We can still wrap them up, even if they no longer fit in newborn outfits. By weeks 6 to 8, we can focus on capturing their lively expressions, and I recommend opting for lifestyle photos either at home or in the studio.
How soon will I see my newborn photos from my session?
After our session, you’ll receive an online gallery within 24 hours, showcasing all the unedited images. This allows you to review them with your partner and loved ones to select your favorites. Once you send me your chosen images for editing, I’ll have them ready for you within two to three business days.

I understand how overwhelming it can feel to step in front of the camera while your body is healing and adjusting after giving birth. Trust me, I’ve been there too! I’ll guide you into flattering and natural poses, and we can also help reduce any swelling, dark circles under your eyes from lack of sleep, and other insecurities. How long does a typical Newborn photo session last?
In-Hospital Photo Sessions: Lasting 30-40 minutes, these sessions focus on capturing your newborn’s tiny features while cradled in parents’ arms, along with family portraits. Grandparents are welcome to join and meet the baby.
Lifestyle Newborn Photo Sessions: Typically 60-90 minutes long, these sessions highlight your baby in their crib and nursery, capturing family moments, including siblings and pets. Including grandparents is highly encouraged for special memories.
In-Studio Posed Photo Sessions: Lasting 2-3 hours, these sessions are best within the first two weeks. We’ll dress your baby in cute outfits and wraps, with family participation, including grandparents, warmly welcomed.

You’ll have the joy of accessing our Client Closet for both your maternity and newborn sessions! In our pre-session chat, we’ll explore this and other details to create a personalized experience for your family. The atmosphere, mood, and your outfit play vital roles in capturing beautiful portraits. I’ll share plenty of style suggestions to ensure you feel confident and prepared. We’ll stay connected every step of the way, making sure you feel beautiful and ready for your session!
